Ours takes the classic Russian babushka form and translates it into felt โ soft where the traditional version is lacquered wood, warm where the traditional version is hard. Six graduated dolls, each hand-felted in Nepal from 100% New Zealand wool. A family that fits in one hand.

Hand-felted wool holds its shape for decades. Every doll is made by hand, dense and structured, meant to be nested and unnested thousands of times and then handed down.
4. Origin โ Where are they made?
In Nepal, by fair-trade artisans who hand-felt each piece from 100% New Zealand wool. Fair trade means the artisans are paid fairly for the skill and time each piece takes. We are proud to name where our toys come from and who made them.
5. Age fit โ Are these the right nesting dolls for my child?
Ages 3 and up. A three-year-old will nest and unnest them and start naming which one is which; a five-year-old will invent a family story; a seven-year-old will still line them up on a shelf. Longer-lasting than most nesting dolls thanks to the soft form.
