Description
The farm is one of the oldest stories in childhood — the animals, the barn, the sounds each animal makes, the daily rhythm of feeding and caring. It works because it’s real work made small.
Farm Friends is a three-puppet Heartfelts set: a cow, a goat, and a horse, each with a hand-stitched heart sewn inside, plus a felted barn that opens up to about eleven and a half inches wide. The largest of the three Heartfelts homes — room for three animals to gather and for a whole afternoon of farm play. Nepal-made from 100% New Zealand wool.
Ethically made
100% New Zealand wool, hand-felted by fair-trade artisans in Nepal. Colored with non-toxic vegetable dyes only. Every piece is made by hand — no two are exactly alike, and the workers who made yours were paid fairly for the skill it takes to felt wool this way. Every puppet carries a hand-stitched heart inside. No plastic. No batteries.
What’s included
Three hand-felted wool finger puppets — a cow, a goat, and a horse — plus one felted wool barn. Puppets approximately 3” tall each; barn approximately 8” × 8” closed. 100% New Zealand wool. No assembly required.
Who it’s for
Ages 3 and up. Made for Big Builders and Brave Creators — pretend and tend in the barn, narrate and collaborate when someone else picks up a puppet. Farm play teaches language early — animal names, animal sounds, food origins, daily rhythms — and stays interesting through the years as the child builds bigger stories on top. Three-year-olds sing “Old MacDonald” with the puppets; five-year-olds invent whole farm-management scenarios. Waldorf, Montessori, and social-emotional development at once: language, sequencing, caretaking, storytelling. Each puppet is also small enough to slip into a pocket — a quiet friend a child can carry with them anywhere a small companion helps.

FAQ — six questions
1. Safety — Is this Farm Friends set safe for a three-year-old?
Yes. All 4 pieces are sized for the recommended age range. 100% New Zealand wool, soft throughout, no plastic parts, no small parts hazards for this age.
2. Materials — What is it made of?
100% New Zealand wool, hand-felted by fair-trade artisans in Nepal. Colored with non-toxic vegetable dyes only. Each puppet has a hand-stitched heart inside. No plastic, no batteries, no electronic components.
3. Durability — Will this last?
Hand-felted wool holds its shape for decades. This set is meant to travel — pocket, bag, car — and be handed down from one child to the next without showing its age.
4. Origin — Where is it made?
In Nepal, by fair-trade artisans who hand-felt each piece from 100% New Zealand wool. Fair trade means the artisans are paid fairly for the skill and time each piece takes. We are proud to name where our toys come from and who made them.
5. Age fit — Is my child the right age for this?
Ages 3 and up. Farm play scales with the child — three-year-olds start with animal sounds; five-year-olds add farm chores and daily rhythms; older children invent bigger stories about the farm and everyone on it. The set stays interesting for years.
6. Assembly — Does this require assembly?
No. It arrives ready to play.
